FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do provide a discount for those families with more than one child taking lessons. Also there is a discount if you pay in advance with a monthly fee, rather than by the lesson. Prices vary depending on the length of the lesson - 30, 45 or 60 min. A one hour lesson is generally $50. A 24 hour notice is in place should a student be unable to attend a scheduled lesson, unless unavoidable due to illness or inclement weather.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I offer a free 30 minute introductory session in order to visit and discuss any questions we each may have of the other. I ask the student to show me their last piano study materials, so that we can agree on a specific lesson plan. I like to hear them play enough that I better understand their current skill level.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I took piano lessons from the age of 7 through high school. At that point my teacher had me playing with a variety of opportunities, such as for weddings, as a choir accompianist, and even as a background restaurant pianist.
