Karin - Piano Teacher

Karin’s Piano Studio is located in Northwest Austin in Presidio Station. She has been working with children since 2002 and is passionate about teaching piano. She believes in setting a solid foundation by teaching students how to read music, understand music theory, and utilize their listening skills. She customizes the curriculum and introduces a variety of musical genres. As the mother of two daughters, she is patient and believes that learning should be positive and engaging. Karin began her teaching career as a private instructor alongside pianist Georgeann Strong at Trinity Episcopal School in Galveston, TX. She maintained her studio of K-8th graders and held weekly music theory classes. She completed her undergraduate degree in music at University of Indianapolis, where she studied piano under Dr. Richard Ratliff.
