Introduction

Hello! My name is Shaun Dougherty and I am teaching guitar lessons online through Zoom and also in person at my home studio. I have taught students in TX, DE, PA, MD, MO, AL, GA, NJ, MA, VA, FL, IL, CA, CT, AZ, OK and a student in Pakistan! (I live in Austin TX) Never even touched a guitar before? No problem! Can’t read music? No problem! There are methods to learn the guitar without reading music. I have taught students from ages 6 to 92. I have also helped several students get accepted into music college. My B.M. is from Berklee college of music so if you want to work on more advanced subjects, I can help with that too. (reading, improv, composing, arranging and songwriting) Private lessons are 30 minutes and my rate is $35 per lesson. I accept payments through Zelle, Apple Pay and cash. Shaun is not only a talented musician but he’s also a great teacher. He’s very professional and was extremely patient with my ten-year old daughter. My rate is $30 per lesson. Lessons are 30 minutes once a week at the same time and day.

The first lesson I like to know what the student likes and wants to accomplish. Then we get started right away!

I have a B.M. from Berklee college of Music in Boston and over 35 years playing, teaching, performing, recording, touring and writing.
