We had the pleasure of having Chris and his duo perform at my husband’s 30th birthday party, and they were incredible! Their country bluegrass style was the perfect touch— laid-back, authentic, and full of talent. They created such a warm and fun ambiance that truly elevated the whole party. Everyone kept asking where we found them because they were such a hit! Chris and his buddy were not only great musicians but also super professional and easy to work with. Highly recommend for any event where you want great music and good vibes!

I've been working with Chris for 6 months and he has transformed my playing from someone who knew a couple chords and didn't know what to do with them to someone that can actually play. He strikes the perfect balance between teaching theory and technique. His approach and passion for teaching and music is efficacious. I cannot recommend Chris enough if you want to learn to play guitar.

I've improved so much already in the few weeks that I've been learning with Chris. He pays attention to detail and is really good at tailoring our lessons to my skill level and the pace that I'm learning at. He's also very patient, and lessons are always fun and challenging at the same time. He's also flexible with scheduling and is very responsive, kind, and professional!

I have had a great start to guitar lessons with Chris. As an adult student who has played music professionally (various instruments), I sought a teacher to fill the big holes in my repertoire and form on guitar. Chris was extremely responsive to what I wanted to do, and, after two lessons, I already see an improvement in technique and overall musicality. He quickly gets a sense of where you are in your proficiency and provides materials appropriate to that level and to what you want to learn. The materials, so far, are short pieces he has developed (printouts during or prior to lessons) designed to facilitate both teaching in the lessons as well as practice at home; but they are just enough of a challenge to help you gain ground quickly. He also makes himself available for questions between lessons and has done prep prior to my lesson for a song I wanted to play. The song chart was already waiting for me when I arrived at the lesson! I also appreciate the flexibility of in -person OR virtual lessons, and his studio space is set up nicely to get right to work from the moment I walk in to the time the lesson is over. The lessons have refreshed my relationship to the guitar and given me hope that I can still get better with relative ease as long as I practice!! I highly recommend Chris for (at least) adult students like me. His energy is very positive and his style of teaching gives a feeling of confidence that motivates me to be diligent. Note: I would have wanted to check all 5 “tabs” in this review including “value” and “professionalism” but I was allowed to only choose 3.
