FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Typically we charge by the hour for any of our services, but we are also open to negotiating a package fee customized to your needs.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First we schedule a free 30 minute virtual consultation. After the prospective client decides to move forward with us, we start our discovery period. In order to familiarize ourselves with our new client, we have them fill out a detailed questionnaire. Next, we move to the closet consultation. During the closet consultation, we style looks from their current wardrobe, and suggest items to purge. We create a photo album with pictures of styled looks, we make notes of alterations if needed, and we also make a list of key and specialty wardrobe pieces needed to complete their closet (as well as accessories). Finally, we determine what price point fits within their budget and suggest stores which may be suitable to find the pieces they need. If the client wishes, we can shop for them in store or online.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We both have Bachelor of Arts degrees in Theatre, with emphasis on costume design. We also have over 2 decades of professional styling and design experience in theatre, film, and television. Between the two of us we have 8 Daytime Emmy Awards.
