I coach storytellers, actors, speakers, and writers in finding their story within their narrative and with drive. My focus is on you, the psychology of the scene or room, and with a clear and direct purpose. With 20+ years in the film industry, aside from Directing and Producing, I have been on screen for shows like JUSTIFIED, HART OF DIXIE, and films like THE DONNER PARTY. I understand story, structure, and how to serve the scene.
I grew up with storytellers and misfits, so Method Acting is in my blood as a lifestyle and a psychological path to artistry. So, I found my way with the Stanislavski system. Still, I landed in Ivana Chubbuck's classes and utilized her techniques in Hollywood. Her breakdown and desire-based teachings just made sense as they resonated with me from Stanislavski and his request for us to never stop growing. I've learned to incorporate things I've learned through years of filmmaking and life on set. More than anything, I teach acting as an art of joy, discovery, discipline, and wonder, intending to facilitate transformations and spiritual growth in individuals. Also, to prepare artists for the inevitabilities and realities of the industry. I love seeing students on film and television. Still, more than that, I love the moment of watching them find the feelings that come from discovery and freedom.
I enjoy helping others break down, develop, and become the scene or artistic piece. Everyone has something unique to offer, with latent talents and capabilities beyond what is generally recognized or accepted. Storytelling is in our DNA. I love coaching and directing students and my peers into significant roles on television and film. It is a point of joy when I see someone transformed and empowered through the process of finding a character, serving the scene, and booking the role.
