FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
At Taskmasters we price our services on a fixed pricing schedule rather than an hourly basis, as such there are a few things you should know: 1. Transparency: With fixed pricing, you as the customer knows the cost upfront, so there are no surprises. We believe it’s important to be transparent with our pricing and communicate all costs associated with the job upfront, including any additional fees or charges. 2. Consistency: Fixed pricing provides consistency and predictability for you the customer. You will know exactly what you will pay for the service regardless of how long it takes to complete the job. 3. Efficiency: Fixed pricing can encourage your handyman to work more efficiently to complete the job quickly while maintaining the quality of work. This can benefit you by reducing the overall cost of the job. 4. Quality of work: Since your handyman is not being paid per hour, there is less incentive to work slowly or extend the job unnecessarily. This can benefit you, the customer by ensuring that the job is completed to a high standard in a reasonable amount of time. 5. Trust: Fixed pricing can help build trust between your handyman and you, the customer. As the customer, you know that you are not being charged for unnecessary work or time, and your handyman knows that they will be paid fairly for the work they complete.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. Initial contact: During our initial contact, we will likely ask you some questions about the work you need done to determine if we are a good fit for the job. 2. Consultation and assessment: Generally this can be accomplished through thumbtack messaging where you provide pictures and we discuss your project needs. In rare cases we may need to schedule a consultation or assessment to evaluate the work that needs to be done. During this process, your handyman will assess the job and provide recommendations on how we can complete the work efficiently and effectively. 3. Estimate: Once your handyman has assessed the work required, they will provide you with an estimate for the job. The estimate should include the cost of labor, materials, and any other expenses associated with the job. 4. Scheduling: If you decide to move forward with Taskmasters, we will work with you to schedule the job at a time that is convenient for you. 5. Completion of the work: On the scheduled date, your handyman will arrive at your home or business to complete the work. They will bring any necessary tools and materials and work efficiently to complete the job in a timely manner. 6. Follow-up: Once the work is completed, your handyman may follow up with you to ensure that you are satisfied with the work that was completed. If there are any issues or concerns, Taskmasters will work with you to address them and make things right.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started building homes with a family members contracting business at the age of 15. I grew to love working with my hands and learning new skills and building methods. To this day, now a homeowner my self, I love to improve upon my investment as well as helping others do the same.
