- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I would say most of our training is just been through life experiences. We do attend special classes when some of the companies that provide gate openers offer them to better educate and make us more efficient.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Well, that’s really a long answer. I’ll try to keep it a little short. so this thing called Covid happen and the job I had been doing for 10 years went away. I had to find something else to do to provide. I was raised on a farm and served in the Navy as an aviation mechanic. i’m good with my hands and I have always known how to fix things. So I found a job repairing driveway gate and openers. I gave it a shot and found that I am very good at fixing and installing gate openers. And I just kept learning and then started company. It has been very rewarding.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
We work with all customers that basically have driveway, gates or iron fences. We work with residential commercial and some HOS’s. We’ve done big jobs for apartment complexes and small jobs just for a little residential homes. No job too big or too small.
