FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I decided to start a cleaning company because I have always enjoyed cleaning felt it was one of my strong passions. I come from a history of cleaners (not in the sense they did it for a living) but from a family where I watched my mom, grandma and great grandma and they were always cleaning. As a kid and all through growing up I don't think I ever saw dirt, kind of weird. But never recall any dirt anywhere!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Best way to hire the right cleaning company for you is to be sure there cleaning philosophy lines up with your cleaning expectations. Not always the 1st company you hire is always the right one. I have experienced both sides of it having had a cleaning company clean my home and now being the cleaning company. Based my company business plan off of the experiences I had while having my own home cleaned. It just takes awhile to build that trust and most importantly to feel comfortable with the company that is cleaning it. A good communication with the company is essential not always perfect but if the communication is there it can all work out in the end.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
In this profession its extremely physical work, most nights we can barely walk. Not everyone can be a professional cleaner and even newcomers to the business under estimate the job thinking its easy and anyone can do it. Its actually one of the harder jobs not just from the physical part but because you really have to know your surfaces, what to put on what so it doesn't get damaged. How to work as a team as you come through the home because it can get overwhelming.
