I am also certified in College Counseling by UCLA and as a Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Practitioner, which enables me to provide personalized guidance and support to each student. My son and daughter attended different private high schools in Dallas, and were set to graduate a year apart. I was completely underwhelmed by the college counseling offered by both schools, and I felt unprepared to guide my high schoolers through the process without additional help. Hiring Tam Warner Minton was one of the best decision I’ve ever made. Tam immediately brought a sense of calm positivity into our lives, along with individualized plans. She has an easy warmth and confidence that allows her to relate well with both students and parents. Tam assured us that there would be several good-fit colleges for both of them. We were grateful that she was thoroughly prepared with resources after learning that both my kiddos would need schools with programs for accommodations for their IEP’s. Indeed, it was through Tam’s recommendations that both my son and daughter found the excellent universities that met their unique needs and interests. Tam’s experience and knowledge successfully guided both of my kiddos through the entire college selection and application process. Tam was wonderful to work with. My husband and I had no idea how to get the ball rolling on getting my daughter accepted into a great school. Now, we have the problem of figuring out WHICH school she will attend. She has been accepted to so many great schools it is beyond what we could have imagined. My daughter followed Tam's timeline and was right on track to get her applications done. They had appointments and a schedule that my daughter kept track of and Tam was right there every step of the way. Even though all of the applications are done Tam and my daughter are still in touch for any questions she has. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I hold a free consultation with the student and parents, share my packages for college advising, discuss the college application process, and if we both want to move forward, we do so.

I have a Master of Science in Social Sciences, am a Certified College Counselor through UCLA, and am qualified as a MBTI Certified Practitioner. I am also a member of the IECA, Independent Educational Consultants Assoc.
