FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer some package deals, so be sure to ask about them!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied classical voice, acting, and musical theater at Grand Canyon University, but the methods of vocal training that worked best for me happened after graduating. I began studying with vocal coaches of artists such as Justin Timberlake, Hayley Williams and Kelly Clarkson, and found that I was able to gain much more vocal power and control in a style that I was more drawn to, in a shorter period of time. Because of this personal experience, I incorporate a huge variety of methods into lessons. I've also received training from internationally renowned, Nashville Vocal Coach Lisa Haupert. Lisa is also the Education Manager of the esteemed VocalizeU teacher network and has been trained in speech science, vocal pedagogy, and medicine through the Summer Vocology Institute with Dr. Ingo Titze, the leading vocal scientist. I'm also a part of a voice teachers network, where I learn new things almost daily.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I fell into vocal coaching upon the suggestion of a fellow singer friend and found that I really loved it! What started as something occasional on the side, grew into a love of helping singers with the same vocal issues I had struggled with. As a voice teacher, I get to utilize my passions of encouraging, inspiring and helping others, along with my love for singing and music. It really is the best and most rewarding job! I'm so grateful.
