FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Studio is $100/hour. That gets you into this incredible space to vibe out and record. This also includes me to oversee the engineering (run the computer and push the buttons) and even help with production! Further into your project you may want production guidance, mixing, editing, and mastering; all of those prices are done on a case by case basis. For example, I will mix a full band track for $500 all in. However if you’re a singer or rapper who already has the beat done then I’ll mix your vocals with the beat, and master, for $350. I can hire a full band for $3000/song (not hourly) and I can produce a full track for you for about the same, again not hourly. I’m fair but I don’t want to intrude and insert myself into a recording where I’m not wanted “producing” so I’m always upfront. If the client needs a pricing break I’m always willing to discuss that. Everything can be negotiable. I want you to make music for your heart and from your soul. Lack of funding shouldn’t hold you back.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I really like to sit down and get to know them first, like really get at what they want...sometimes you can push record too soon and the end product doesn’t match what the artist or client wanted...I find that having an honest conversation initially always pays off in the end result, and everyone is happier...haha and then the client comes back!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a 4 year degree which includes focus in multiple instruments (piano, drums, horns, orchestral, etc...) and studio production and recording.
