Pierce is an incredible piano tuner! He was very responsive, even worked with my schedule changing dates. When he tuned my piano he was very tedious, described the work he was doing, and really took the time to make sure it was tuned absolutely perfectly. He is also very kind, respectful and professional. For an added charge he cleaned my piano and its keys! It’s now sounding and looking more amazing than ever!! If you’re looking around for piano tuners, Pierce is an expert and I highly recommend him! He’ll bring your piano back to life!

Pierce did a great job of tuning my very old piano which hadn't been tuned in quite awhile. He explained what he was doing and was patient with my questions. Very pleased.

Pierce is an absolute piano genius. My first piano was what I thought a so-so upright that his tuning made absolutely sing. After some time a studio partner of mine acquired a beat up baby grand. Pierce did an amazing restoration job on it, evening out the action of the key bed and tightening the winding of several bass strings to improve sustain. It went from a beater to a studio workhorse that beats out any vst I own. A lot of my clients are not used to playing a professionally set up piano and are blown away. Even those who own nice pianos have complimented the action. Above all thought, Pierce’s passion shines through whenever there’s a small issue such as a key sticking, he’s more than happy to explain the mechanics of the device as he fixes it. Would recommend.

Pierce did a excellent job, he is honest, very professional and on time. He replaced a piano wire for my son at a very reasonable price and he also explained a lot to my son about how to replace it and how to tune a piano. Highly recommended!!!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    $15 discount to veterans & seniors 60+

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Rick Butler School of Piano Repair

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

In the summer of 2019 I was given a one hundred year old baby grand piano as a gift. After assessing how much it would cost to fix, I just decided I would learn how to repair it myself! (pictures featured are from that project) I was then able to practice tuning it over and over, I enrolled in a course of study, and I have continued to take jobs ever since!
