It was a day of unexpected events. The company didn't call me to tell me they were on the way. When I called I was told that "my" movers had went to another job 1st which had turned out to be more than they were told. The boss told me he would come and bring another person with him. He arrived by himself and he started moving the furniture out. He worked very hard for 4.5 for a job that shouldn't have taken 2, if there had been 2 people. Consequently we had to reschedule the movers we had arranged to unload when we got to Knoxville. Two more men showed up and helped finish. These men were careless while moving boxes marked fragile and broke a Christmas decoration that was especially made for my friend that we were helping to move. There were also 2 other boxes that were broken. While I understand that circumstances can change a companies ability to meet obligations I think it wasn't my problem to deal with.
