I charge a $125 Trip fee that covers tasks or lists of small jobs up to 2 hours of work, or go off of on-site or photo estimates for bigger jobs. 65/hr for most work longer than 2 hours. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge a 2 hour minimum for all jobs, and feel like my rate is very reasonable for the quality of work I am able to do as well as my professionalism on and off the job site. If you book me for an “all day” job through thumbtack, I agree to block off an entire work day for your project (10am-6pm). For reservations like these, I charge a $400 minimum and may charge a deposit up front.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I'm a musician, and was looking for a job I could do during the day that wouldn't conflict with my busy performance schedule, and also keep my sense of creativity active. finding solutions to problems people have with their homes & property is a wonderful and honest way of making a living and supporting my musical ventures!
