FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I will always include in the description of my estimates what materials I will provide and are included in the price I quote. Also I typically charge half upfront and half on completion of job, on any job over $500. Some jobs lasting multiple days and priced higher than $1500 maybe paid in three installments (on start of job, half way through job, and on completion of job). I don’t usually charge a service fee unless I come to diagnose a problem and don’t actually do the work.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was lead technician for McMullin Plumbing for over 6 years. prior to that, I worked in commercial drywall and painting for B&B specialty contractors. And have always had my own side work in just about any field you can think of. electrical, roofing, flooring, tile work, carpentry, interior design, etc..
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
A customer should always be aware of any hidden fees or extra costs the service provider may charge but hasn't mentioned. Sometimes certain jobs aren't easily estimated with an exact price until the work is underway so it would be good practice for a customer to ask the provider if they can give them a price range in these cases, with a minimum and a maximum quote of what the job could cost, so there are no surprises when it comes time to pay
