FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Even before I decided to attend bartending school, I had already been bartending at the local bowling alley for almost a year. I'm always excited to learn new things and ways to expand my knowledge so I attended the JC Bartending Academy in Plano, TX.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I had been making drinks since my first job at Starbucks when I was 16 and I was having the time of my life. Then a close friend told me about the benefits of working in a restaurant and the social, busy-body parts of my soul was dying to get in on that deal. So at the age of 18 I got my first serving job at TGI Friday's and I worked in a restaurant that had an amazing bar and was always intrigued by the different types of cocktails and the creative way in which they were presented. I asked question after question and it wasn't long before I fell in love with the unique art of helping people simply get the party started. "Who doesn't want to be the one slinging drinks to adoring patrons, working your way out of the weeds in the service well, all while tossing alcohol drenched bills into your tip jar?!"
