Glad I found Zack! He did good work and was patient with me when I briefly had second thoughts about placement of the item he was installing for me, and helped me decide on the best way to go. The finished work looks great! We had to reschedule a couple of times because his schedule was a little too full (he must be in high demand!), but he was punctual on the day of the job. He's responsive and communicates well here in ThumbTack and in person. Be aware that, as of this writing, his listing doesn't mention that he has a 2-hour minimum; when he finished the job I'd hired him for, since he was still "on the clock", he was kind enough to do another small job I couldn't do for myself. Thank you, Zack!

I will include estimates in the total price if we move forward with the project
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to know what the customer is looking for and what he/she envisions as the final project. I am happy to make suggestions or simply start the project as the customer sees fit. I prefer a deposit up front in the amount of 50% of the total price.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
A good friend of mine owns a successful drywall company in the Northeast and I was able to learn/study with his entire family. His father started the company in the mid 70's and they have been going strong ever since. They represent the highest caliber of drywall installation and finishing in Upstate New York.
