Julie is an incredibly gifted teacher. She has the rare combination of patience; great observational skills; and an endless arsenal of techniques and tools to help you learn to play the Piano in a stress free and effective manner. I have been studying Piano with Julie for two years and what strikes me the most is her ability to identify even the most minute issue and make thoughtful suggestions that immediately impact my learning. This not only applies to technique, but to every aspect of learning music, ranging from theory to time keeping and dynamics. It seems that Julie has an unending bag of tips and insights that make for significant progression in every lesson. I've been a student of Julie's since 2021, and in that time, I've grown from knowing little about singing to truly loving it. Julie is an incredible teacher who lets adult students choose their songs and helps perfect them. She also includes music theory in lessons, which I find interesting. Julie encourages stepping out of comfort zones—she introduced me to classical and folk songs, which I now enjoy singing and learning. My singing technique has improved so much that songs I once found challenging are now easy to learn. Her classes are the highlight of my week!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
45 minutes for $45, 60 minutes for $55, Please add $15 per lesson if I travel to your location (10 mile radius.) For children 8 and under ONLY: 30 minutes for $35
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I receive a new student, we have a short chat about musical goals and preferences. Then we set a course together. I strive to make my students feel comfortable and confident.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a Bachelors of Music Education from the University of Florida, with Honors (Cum Laude.) My principal instrument is voice, my secondary instrument is piano. I have extensive post- college Music Education training in several specialty fields including Orff Music for Children, Kodaly Solfeggi, and Yamaha Keyboard Music in Education training.
