I spent $285 in parts and labor with Home Appliance Master last December to replace the timer on my washer. Two months later, the timer failed. A technician returned to and took the broken timer, but since then a month has gone by and they have not replaced or refunded the timer. Every time I call, someone tells me that I will get a call back with an update, but I never get a call. I am extremely disappointed with their service and regret doing business with Home Appliance Master.

Details: Washer / dryer • Whirlpool • Residential

Home Appliance Master's reply
By customer request we installed a preowned timer with 30 days warranty only. We never use preowned parts, but exactly this timer was discontinued and the customer asked us to find a used one. I found only one with only 30 days warranty. Customer was agreed. He paid for part and labor (much less then $285 mentioned in the review), but in almost 2 months the timer stopped working. I contacted the seller and asked at least partial refund but got a standard answer with 30 days warranty. I called and texted all the information to the customer. I was even ready to return a part of the labor price, but didn’t get an answer and now see this beautiful review.

Identified problem, took dryer apart, replaced bad part, tested, did paper work and was on his way. All within 3 hours of making contact. Price was very fair for the quality of service received.

8-15-2018 I used them, Mike although his English isn't great, he worked hard got the freezer thawed and back to working. Worth the money. I gave them a 2 based on that . Then 7-3-19 we had a issue and he came out troubleshot and found it to be the fan. Waited for the part to come in and he replaced it. Right after 6 months later we had an error, fridge not cooling. A different man showed up, I believe this to be the owner Stan. He seemed to have problem taking it apart and putting it back together. Tells me the control panel might be bad and it's not reading and gave me the price for that. But that he thinks it's okay for now. He replaced the fan for someone reason again since it's under the 1 year warranty, all for free which I thought was nice.. 48 hours later fridge still at 50 degrees not cooling. I call a different company to trouble shoot.. After getting in there, the wrong fan that doesn't even connect was in there. I tell them about this and the response was it was in there temporarily and for free... Because I've always wanted the wrong fan for free so I can now pay another company to fix this issue! You shouldn't fix things you don't know about and be honest about the part being put in. Enjoy my money!

Home Appliance Master's reply
It was a different tech, may be he made a mistake and didn’t connect something. Nobody knows. I never trust “other companies”, of course they will blame a previous one, they need to sell you something. And I have no idea about “temporary” part. We install good parts, provide warranty and always keep our word. No reason to call “another company”. You could call us and got it fixed for free. Stan
