- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
General prices for my services are as follows IF I drive to your home: Individual music therapy- $50-70 hour Music lessons- $25/lesson Adapted music lessons- $30/lesson Group music therapy- $30-45/hour Skype online lessons or music therapy sessions are $10 less.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes. I am required by the certification board for music therapists to have 100 hours of continuing education every certification cycle to maintain my credentials.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started playing and performing music at age 6. I wanted to be in a health and wellness related field and decided on speech therapy. When I auditioned for an orchestra in high school the interviewer suggested I try music therapy which I've never heard of before. I went an observed every person I could find and feel in love with the field.
