FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer quarterly discounts, so you get 12 lessons for the price of 11 if you sign up and pay for 3 months at a time. I do not charge extra for travel.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For music lessons, I schedule a "meet and greet" with the client to get to know the family and/or individual a little bit better and spend a few minutes with the student in a trial lesson. There is no obligation for this initial service. From that point it is up to the client to decide whether or not to proceed with a commitment to lessons. For performance services, I invite the client to come to my home and listen to me perform for them as an audition. If the person decides to hire me at that point, I have a work-for-hire agreement that we fill out together.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been playing music since 1976, and I've been teaching it since 1990. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from the University of Illinois.
