FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I was in my college years, I worked for a non-profit organization that received donations in exchange for landscape work. Every year, we provided our labor for landscape services in exchange for donations to our organization. This is where I began to enjoy the satisfaction in improving a property through landscape services. Later, I met my husband, who had trained in the landscaping field, and we went on to open our own landscape business in Maryland. Through my work with our business in MD, I developed an even deeper love for landscaping and carried that enjoyment to Florida, where we now reside. There is a tremendous amount of satisfaction in changing a landscape for the better and experiencing the smiles on our client's faces.

- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look for experience when hiring a landscape contractor. The lowest price is not always your best choice. Poor workmanship or lesser quality plant or hardscape materials typically results in more expense down the road for the property owner. Licensing and insurance should also be a priority. Landscaping is an investment, just like a new roof, new appliance or a pool. You should view your landscape projects as an investment that adds to the value of your real estate and home.
