- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We charge 3.00 to 3.50 per sq. ft depending on the wood, stain color, and location.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We come into the home to meet with the homeowner, measure their floor to give them an exact price and start the work. On the first day of sanding we show stain colors on their floor for them to choose. We can mix, lighten, or darken stains to find their custom stain color. We hang plastic and do whatever preparation is needed before we begin. We use our dust containment system which captures 90% of the dust from getting in the air. After the sanding and staining is done, we will apply three coats of polyurethane. The poly takes overnight to dry. The homeowner will choose their final coat finish of satin, semi, or gloss.
