FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is very fair and competitive based upon my knowledge and expertise. I’m definitely not the cheapest contractor by any means. I’ve built up a reputation and skill set that require a certain amount in return. It’s a benefit of many jobs well done. But at the same time I’m not the most expensive. I’m just a single contractor with helpers when I need them so I don’t have much overhead.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always meet face to face to take a look at the project they have. Then I take detailed pics and notes and put together a formal estimate of the work. Once they respond and agree upon a job, I require a 50% deposit and then I pencil them into my schedule. I get the rest of the payment after completing the job.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’ve worked with my grandfather as an electricians apprentice when I was in high school. I worked with my dad doing irrigation work all through high school and college. After graduating from college, I became a Nurse and it wasn’t for me. I missed working with my hands and working with tools. Then I got into landscape construction building patios, pergolas, pavers systems, retaining walls, etc. Then I progressed into residential construction with a buddy. I ran the labor side of the business for 5 years. I started to go out on my own and get my own business. My work spoke for itself and within a year of doing side jobs, I had a strong customer base. The rest is history.
