Introduction

We only use the highest quality parts when repairing customer's garage doors. For example, garage door springs come with a cycle rating. Some springs are rated for 6,000 cycles and others for 10,000 cycles. We only use 10,000 cycle springs. We also are an authorized dealer for the LiftMaster line of garage door openers. This is the highest quaility, longest lasting, quietest garage door opener available. When it comes to replacing entire garage doors, we offer two choices. The budget choice is for those for whom the replacement is mandatory but they are strapped for cash. The "budget" door is a very nice door which will give many, many years of excellent service. Of course, we also carry enhanced doors for those who are willing and able to upgrade their choice of doors. I love helping people with their garage door problems. I have been in the garage door business all of my working life, so I am very knowledgeable about just how garage doors and openers work. I am alway very happy to explain to those consumers who display an interest some of the finer points of garage door maintenance.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Most of our continuing education in the garage door business comes from our suppliers, the garage door manufacturers and equipment makers. We attend trade shows and meet with our vendors who are providing new equipment to the market place. We always try to stay updated with the latest technology.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I grew up in the garage door business and except for a 4 year hitch in the Air Force I have been in the business all my life. My first job was as working for a sub-contractor who was installing garage doors in new subdivisions. Later I started my own sub-contracting business. Eventually I moved away from sub-contraction and starting provideing service to homeowners and business who were in need of garage door repairs or replacement.
What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common is spring repair, followed by cable replacement and opener repair. The least common is a garage door replacement.
