- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
A typical appraisal is $425. Some properties with a large amount of square footage, or a location on a golf course, lake, river, or beach may be more. I will need the address to look up the property and give you a price if property is very large or has a beneficial view.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once we agree to go forward I will send an email with an engagement letter which hires me. Then we will make arrangements to do an observation of the property which includes measuring the property and taking photos. Then we will do research and provide you with the completed appraisal which includes the comparables uses to determine value, photos, maps, and a summary of how and why we came up with the appraised value. From start to finish this process generally takes about a week.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Continueing education is required by the state LLC. It is important for an appraiser to stay current and up to date with changes that occur in all aspects of the real estate industry. I am consistantly upgrading my skills.
