FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Mr. Electric provides up-front pricing you can rely on. Once we visit and see the scope of your project, the estimate you get is the price you will pay. We won't tear out your bedroom wall and tell you later how much it will cost to fix it. We don't (currently) charge a dispatch fee, we perform a complimentary home safety check when we arrive, and you get an up-front estimate you can trust. And we do run some fun specials every now and then to enhance your home... don't be afraid to ask!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When our Service Professionals knock on your door you'll see them standing on our Mr. Electric floor mat, putting on the lovely yellow booties that will keep your home clean. We perform a complimentary electrical safety check on every visit to ensure your home is not only safe for you and your family but also safe for us to work on (people do some funny things with electrical work, including builders). We'll look at the bones of your electrical panel and let you know of any safety upgrades you may want to consider, any electrical code updates that would benefit you, and of course any violations or legitimate safety concerns (it's really rare to find anything serious). We'll review the inspection with you and take the time to discuss anything you'd like to learn more about.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The owner of Mr. Electric of Indian Land is a licensed electrician, an Electrical Engineer (BS in Electrical Engineering, Boston University), and a qualified Naval Nuclear Engineer. After operating nuclear reactors on submarines for most of his naval career (and then a few years in South and North Korea), he and his family call Indian Land their home and are thrilled to bring a new level of professionalism and integrity to the home services industry.
