FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $50 hr with a minimum of 3 hrs. I do charge travel time for distances over 30 miles. I charge for taking clothes or furniture to consignment and for dropping off donations. I do not charge for recycling as long as they are in one car load.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I am available for a mjnimum of three hours at a time. The reason for that is I have found is that it takes that long to get in and out of most projects. I get a lot done in a small amount of time but always work at a comfortable pace level for my client. Some of my clients and I work like Energizer bunnies when we know what we want to accomplish. While sometimes we work much more slowly and thoughtfully as we make strategies and try them out. Once some form of action plan is made, either my client and I will work together, together but on separate tasks, or they may go do something else while I work. I am very accomadating. My main goal is to make you feel better about your space through problem-solving and putting ideas into action. I am very patient, I have no attachments to my ideas and just want you to be satisfied with our work.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have moved more than 30 times in my life. My father was a business man and my mother loved adventure. She kept everything, bordering on hoarding, and my fatber was a minimalist. I grew up rifling through vaguely labeled boxes looking for toys and art supplies. At the age of 14, my family and I moved from a big big house and 90 acres to a 32 ' sailboat. Such a forced life of simplicity taught me a good deal about valuing what you have and only having what you need or really love. I have volunteered since the age of 16, and have always enjoyed helping, making people feel better and being of service. I am also an artist and have a strong sense of spacial visualization, talent for creative solutions, and flair for the aesthetic.
