FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge enough to take the time to do an excellent job. I’d rather do quality work vs quantity work. It’s a better feeling at the end of a day to know I made a huge difference on one or two pianos, than an ok job on 5-6.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Communicating online, then usually a phone call or text to understand specific needs of each client’s piano. Deciding if it’s a mutual benefit to go forward. If so, a great time tuning and then I enjoy playing a few songs on a well tuned piano!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Tuning in universities for 20 years. The first 6 years of my career I tuned at Clemson, Furman, North Greenville, and Gardner Webb, 3-4 times a year. Two years later I started my own business and acquired Furman as a client. Tuned their pianos for 7 years. While tuning for Furman I acquired the position as Head Technician at Converse University. I’ve been there 5 years. I’ve also tuned at many churches and a few concert artists. Bruce Hornsby, Gaither Vocal band, and Emile Pandolfi, Cindy Wilson of the B52s and The Eagles.
