FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is set hourly. I also provide additional Add-Ons ( NOT included in class hourly price) for those students interested. Some of those include a sewing class box ( which includes fabric and various supplies shipped to your home prior to the first class), digital patterns for printing ( can be customized to your measurements before a project begins), and small business design support ( for those starting a business and want to learn more regarding tech packs, factories, and production)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically with a new customer, the 1st session is reviewing supplies and setting up the machine, and understanding what they are looking to gain/ or learn from the class. I like to tailor my teaching to each student as I understand everyone's learning style may be different. Some students want to learn with a project like sewing a skirt. Some like to learn construction techniques and build a library to reference first before making a item. I provide sew supply lists and hands on help when shopping to ensure you are learning through every step.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BS in Fashion Design and Merchandising and a Masters in Fashion design, along with 10plus years of working in the fashion industry as a designer and technical designer.
