The Ballroom Lab endeavors to empower our students with the connection of dance -- physical touch that ignites our mental and emotional fire. Our purpose is to create that spark through quality dancesport education and fuel it with the continual growth and development of our craft. We offer customized instruction for each of our students. We also encourage continuing education for instructors through world renowned champions and judges. As our knowledge of biomechanics and physics expands as a society, so does our dance knowledge. Crystal was absolutely great. Exactly what we were Looking for our coming Wedding in Lima Perú on Sep the 29th! We were out of time and we wanted elegant but simple... she just did it the way we like it! We will post some pictures after our Wedding!!

We were invited to a free dance lesson by another professional for advertising purposes of course. When the event was over, and we saw the prices for a choreographed dance we knew this would be WAY over our budget. I still wanted to do something meaningful, so in July I decided to try again. I got on Thumbtack and reached out to two studios to get an estimate. A few days went by and Crystal was the only one who reached back out. She explained that she was as at a competition with some of her students and the pricing was MUCH lower and affordable. So, if you send her a message, give it a few days, it is worth the wait! I promise. We gave her a few songs we were interested in.... I was tied to one, my fiance' another. As to not waste time, we worked on the beginning part that goes well with both songs. The next week we discussed the songs a bit more and, of course, my fiance' won out. Such is life.. She developed the dance in front of us and it was fun watching it come together over the coming weeks. You can not be afraid to tell her you do not like something, or, if you go home to practice, do not be afraid to change. Some moves will not feel good and wont flow like you feel that it should. So, when we come back, we show her where we are at, she would take our modification and run with it. I went from a stiff log that does not like to move to someone who can now somewhat dance. These last few months (we go once a week) have been a fun experience and we love what she does and how she teaches so much, that we want to continue going to her to learn how to actually dance for our date nights. There is a review about complicated moves.... yes, some of the moves can be complicated..... for us, we are not complicated people and they take practice.... But, if what she is showing you or asking you to do is not comfortable..... tell her. She will modify it. You will love her personality, charisma and and her theatrical nature during her instruction. I honestly do not believe you will find a coach or teacher that makes it that fun to learn. Thank you Crystal for everything you have taught us, we look forward to working with you in the future!

Just wanted to learn a simple slow dance and she tried to make it complicated. Needed father daughter song and a partner. My daughter is 3000 miles away. Not impressed with First contact so there was no lessons.

My wife and I were in need of help to prepare our first dance for our wedding. We were extremely lucky to find Crystal and to get to work with her. Here are some specific comments about Crystal: - Communication with her was great, she replied promptly to all of our email/texts. - She will work with you to develop the product that is right for you. We never felt that she pushed us in any direction or that she tried to make us take more lessons than the ones we wanted. All the opposite, she listened to what we wanted (and to our budget) and went beyond and above her duty as an instructor so that we would get what we were looking for. - She is a really good teacher. She is patient and took the time to explain the subject through different approaches to make sure that we were learning. - She is very punctual. If anything, my wife and I were the ones running late. - She is a professional. During the lessons, through her attitude, presentation, and skills, Crystal made clear to us that dancing is her passion and that her goal is for clients to become their best! Needless to say that our first dance was a success, we got many compliments from our families and friends! You can not go wrong by choosing to work with Crystal!

How did you get started doing this type of work?
Classically trained in ballet at age 5, my love for dance grew from there. When I had an opportunity to teach with a worldwide company, I threw myself into training... I haven't looked back!
