FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I calculate my price based on a number of factors: amount and level of detailing, size, style, working conditions, ratio for wall to ceiling work, necessity of preparatory work, surface type, etc. Once I've gotten the necessary info from the client, I'll know what's needed on my end, and I can quickly supply the client with a quote. My price will NOT go up if I make the mistake of underestimating the time/difficulty/etc. If I make an error, I absorb the mistake, and the client will not be presented with any surprise "extra" charges at the end of the project. I take a 25% deposit at the start of the work. Changes made after the start will be discussed and agreed on by both parties, and price adjustments will be made accordingly and in writing.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I offer a free consultation that can be done over the phone with the prospective client if they have an exact image they want. Otherwise, the consultation will have to be done in person to discuss the details of the work, which may include selecting a theme, artistic style, and possibly the final image. I will present a huge library of different themes and actual images as a starting point. For custom images not from my library, I will take some time to produce some sketches as I see fit. After the final image is approved, I will present a quote for completing the work, as well as the time required to complete it.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Graduated from the famous Moscow State Surikov Academy of Fine Arts.
