Dwight is my absolute hero! I was new to the area and hired a local contractor to start our house remodel. One month later I came home from work to find a collapsed ceiling, water pouring from the walls and a swimming pool in our dining room. Due to a plumbing error made by the first contractor, half our house was flooded and created an absolute nightmare of a mess. In steps Dwight who is truly a master of his craft. His bid was detailed, his prices were fair, and he is an absolute pleasure to work with. Dwight told us up front that he would not be the fastest contractor to get our project done, he does almost everything himself and subs out very little, all I cared about was that the work was done right. Quality work and craftsmanship takes time. Dwight puts attention to detail into everything he does and I couldnt have asked for a better end result. I am forever grateful to Dwight at Nielsen Renovations, he really turned my vision of this home into a reality. You have many choices when it comes to contractors, dont make my mistake, hire Nielsen Renovations and get it done right the first time!

Thank you to Dwight and team for renovating our master bathroom. We did a complete gut. Installed a floating vanity with quartz top. New tile floors and shower. Added a free standing tub with tub filler. The end result looks amazing. Thank you again.

Dwight took my master bath project to the next level. I had a vision of completely changing the layout and he executed the plan to a high level. The shower was a masterpiece. We have had friends and random neighbors ask to see our bathroom once they heard about it. We recently sold our house, the new owners were went on and on about the master bathroom.

Dwight was able to take our vision for the kitchen and translate it into a beautiful renovation all under budget. Besides being an excellent craftsman with an uncanny attention to detail he actually listens and kept us informed at all stages. From the initial sit down meeting to the finishing touches it has been a pleasant experience. How about classical music instead of AC/DC out the boom box.(sorry, my preference) Anyway, Dwight is a man of character and we felt at ease being on vacation for the final week with him locking up after work. He didn't mind at all when I would watch and ask questions. It was actually a fun time bouncing ideas off each other and we actually solved a few roadblocks that surfaced. I was the general in two of my builds in the past and can honestly say that Nielsen Renovations is in that top echelon of people I would hire again and again. In fact,I have him coming out in the spring to do a patio cover and trellis.

FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am not the least expensive, but I'm certainly not the most expensive. If any other contractor is offering any kind of discount, you should be wary.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I want to make sure that I and my client have a good rapport where we can ascertain that we will have a good connection, because remodeling is a long-term relationship! I will be asking what your budget is, so if you are uncomfortable with answering that, then we probably won't work well together. Why do I ask that? Because I want to make sure that you are being reasonable with your expectations, NOT because I want to max out your budget.
