Dwight is my absolute hero! I was new to the area and hired a local contractor to start our house remodel. One month later I came home from work to find a collapsed ceiling, water pouring from the walls and a swimming pool in our dining room. Due to a plumbing error made by the first contractor, half our house was flooded and created an absolute nightmare of a mess. In steps Dwight who is truly a master of his craft. His bid was detailed, his prices were fair, and he is an absolute pleasure to work with. Dwight told us up front that he would not be the fastest contractor to get our project done, he does almost everything himself and subs out very little, all I cared about was that the work was done right. Quality work and craftsmanship takes time. Dwight puts attention to detail into everything he does and I couldnt have asked for a better end result. I am forever grateful to Dwight at Nielsen Renovations, he really turned my vision of this home into a reality. You have many choices when it comes to contractors, dont make my mistake, hire Nielsen Renovations and get it done right the first time!

You were patient with me, clear in your communication, and the biggest reason the job looks so great is because of your amazing taste in finishes. Dwight was able to take our vision for the kitchen and translate it into a beautiful renovation all under budget. Besides being an excellent craftsman with an uncanny attention to detail he actually listens and kept us informed at all stages. From the initial sit down meeting to the finishing touches it has been a pleasant experience. How about classical music instead of AC/DC out the boom box.(sorry, my preference) Anyway, Dwight is a man of character and we felt at ease being on vacation for the final week with him locking up after work. He didn't mind at all when I would watch and ask questions. It was actually a fun time bouncing ideas off each other and we actually solved a few roadblocks that surfaced. I was the general in two of my builds in the past and can honestly say that Nielsen Renovations is in that top echelon of people I would hire again and again. In fact,I have him coming out in the spring to do a patio cover and trellis.

Dwight did a beautiful job on our new walk-in shower. He removed the old shower/tub combination and installed an Onyx shower. His work was very meticulous. Communication about issues that inevitably arise was great. He always had reasonable options. He honored his bid. He was very considerate about laying down protection on our floors and keeping things clean. Final cleanup was perfect. It wasn't a 1-day install "as seen on tv" (if that's even possible) but he was up front about that. Love the shower!

Dwight and his crew added a second bathroom to our house. From the estimate process to the finished product, Dwight was a great communicator and clear about project expectations. He was open to changes as we went along, and he was accommodating with special requests related to COVID (e.g., using sanitizer before entering the house.) They had to excavate, lay new foundation, build up walls, insulate the interior, drywall, and install all bathroom finishes. They handled all permitting and inspections, so we didn't have to worry about that. Dwight was supportive of my design choices, but he also offered helpful advice when I needed it. He collected payments along the way, which was great as opposed to all upfront. The construction and finishing touches were professional, and Dwight took the time to make sure things were how we wanted them. Bottom line--we are in love with our new bathroom, and felt the process went smoothly and Dwight and his crew were great! Would definitely consider them for future projects.
