- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually begin by asking clients what their goals are with the specific project they are working on. Then, I will ask what specific parts of that project they need input or guidance on, and develop a curriculum that works to meet those goals within the expected timeframe.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I earned a BA degree in English with a minor in Creative Writing from the University of Richmond. Then, I received my MFA from the University of Massachusetts, and I am now working towards a PhD in English (Composition and Rhetoric) at the University of South Carolina. I am currently the Assistant Director of the Writing Center at UofSC. I have taught College English at 3 different Universities over the past 5 years. In addition, I have worked in Writing and Tutoring Centers in higher education for a total of about 3-4 years, including one that was exclusive to International Students. I have also been working as a freelance writing tutor and editor since 2018.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
K-12 students, Undergraduate students, graduate students, scholars with PhDs, ESL students, international students, continuing ed students, creative writers, novice writers, expert writers.
