FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
After years of traveling the world as a videographer and a stage manager for several major cruise lines I decided to find something to do a little closer to home. I discovered this line of work while helping out a friend of mine who works as a local DJ. He was looking into expanding his services and asked my advice on what else he could offer his clients. After a little research I discovered that many DJs were offering photo booths. I brought this to his attention but he really wanted to stick to the DJ booth so I decided it was something I wouldn't mind doing for myself. I've always wanted to be my own boss and this seemed like a great way to do something fun and to make a living at the same time!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Photo booths have become very popular for all kinds of events and occasions. From wedding receptions, birthday parties, and school dances to corporate parties and conventions. People really seem to enjoy themselves when they step inside that booth.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would advise a perspective customer to ask about he equipment the provider is using. Some companies use inexpensive ink jet printers and web cams or point and shoot cameras in their photo booths. Dye sublimation printers and DSLR cameras should be used to get quality results.
