I had a 200 sq. ft. room in my house with badly stained carpet that needed removal and replacement with luxury vinyl tile. Initially referred to a contractor by a friend, I purchased the tiles and arranged installation, expecting it to take 8 to 10 hours. However, the contractor postponed multiple times, ultimately failing to show up. Frustrated, I turned to Thumbtack for assistance. Within hours, Davidson from Top Floors contacted me. We quickly scheduled the installation for two days later. Davidson and his assistant, Luke, arrived promptly at 8 am. They efficiently removed the old carpet, prepared the concrete, and installed the new tile and trim by noon. They were courteous, tidy, and efficient, with Davidson making a quick trip to Home Depot for additional materials. The finished floor looks fantastic with minimal waste, despite some expected noise from cutting and scraping, which they managed without the need for loud music. The pricing was fair, and I have no significant complaints. I would certainly hire them again. While there was a minor communication hiccup due to Davidson's slight Portuguese accent, the job was professionally executed. They completed the work within the agreed timeframe and took away the old carpet, leaving my wife and I delighted with the results. In summary, Top Floors handled the project with professionalism, speed, and quality, meeting our expectations within budget.
