Benjamin Kee has been awesome with helping with the repair of my roof following a hail storm that damaged my roof and other areas of my home. He worked with my insurance company following another roofing company who had given me an estimate, but failed to do any of the work, and also missed several areas of concern on that estimate. Kee Roofing, contacted my insurance company and resubmitted the correct estimate and job order to ensure the proper work was conducted. Ben and his team arrived when stated and completed the work in a timely fashion. Unfortunately now that I have a problem with the work and have a 5 yrs workmanship warranty, Ben and company are telling me that the work done does not include the ridge cap when that was the reason of the flooding damage. As stated in contract they are now telling me that they can give me a number of another roofer to come out and do the job since they are soooo busy in the upstate. I have been patient and reasonable waiting for them to be free. After their secretary made me an appt for inspection somehow the date was removed and no one showed. Now I am trying to contact Ben and no answer. Buyer beware of the warranty that is word of mouth. If this isn't resolved soon, as in someone just to come out and look at what is wrong, I will have to take legal course of action. Sorry for the lengthy review but it is what it is. Great all around. Thank you Ben and crew for the fantastic job. Quick to give estimates and very courteous in doing so, especially after the problems that I have ran into with contractors for just estimates during the storm of 2015. One contractor told me it would take a month just to write an estimate after coming out to see the damage. This is the ONLY roofing company I would suggest to all friends and relatives. If you are in need of minor roof repairs or a complete replacement look no further I assure you that you won't be disappointed.

Daniel, our 5 year workmanship warranty covers workmanship and installation issues, just as is stated in your original repair contract paperwork and the warranty title itself. As we explained previously, when you have a microburst tornado type storm that hits your home; that would not, under any circumstances, be considered a workmanship issue or be our fault. You had no problems with our work for almost a year after our repair, until the 80 mph damaging winds. If there was an issue with the original repair we did, or course, we would be happy to fix it and cover the repairs under our workmanship warranty, but as we explained before; just like when you filed a claim with your insurance company for hail damages for the original repair, you should also file another claim for this microburst wind storm/mini tornado. These are actionable damaging events that are outside the realm of simple workmanship warranty issues. Just like with a vehicle accident, if you got into an unfortunate second wreck that damaged the front of your car, you would not call your repair body shop who fixed your vehicle rear-end damage the first time and expect them to fix the front of your vehicle for free and then blame them for your accident and say that it is a workmanship warranty issue! No, you would file a new accident report, a new insurance claim and then get your new damages addressed and paid for by your insurance company. Simple as that. 👍🏻👍🏻 I'm not sure how this is confusing... Thank you so much Daniel! 2016 review:It was clear that these roofers are very busy folks, but that did not prevent them from doing an excellent job. They did a free upgrade to architectural shingles, and worked very well with my insurance company. The job was done quickly and well, and the result looks perfect. What more do you need?2017 review:This year has been more challenging, however. Another hailstorm happened in April, almost exactly a year after the previous one, causing more damage that before. Of course I went with the same company who had done such a great job the previous year. Today is November 19, 2017 and the work isn't finished. The work done so far has required follow-up work to fix mistakes. A roofing nail through the drip edge, for example. Yes, they came out and removed the nail...but left the hole. I guess a little nail hole in the drip edge isn't a big deal? Or the downspouts that were all supposed to be replaced. One was taken off, but not replaced and another was not replaced at all. The crew came back and installed the one that was missing, but one of them still has not been replaced. Maybe when the house is power-washed, it will wash away the spiderwebs and dirt that gave it away. (update - Turns out that downspout wasn't covered by the insurance. OK, I feel better about that.) This review was originally considerably more scathing, but I was called in response today, 11/21/2017, and told that the rest of the work should be done the second week of December, with the power wash to follow. I was glad the online review got a quick response as my patience is at it's limit. I will again update when the work is complete.

Thank again! *** Update From Second Hail Storm/Job, Jan 15, 2018 : Hi Ms. Clark, we appreciate your patience throughout the process of restoring your home back to its pre-loss condition. As the owner, Benjamin Kee had personally spoken with you about, over 43,000 homes were demolished by the second catastrophic hail storm that hit your area. Of course, we certainly appreciate your trust in going with us again a second time, due to your results with us from the previous year. As Mr. Kee had mentioned, what had happened was that almost all of our customers from the precious year's hailstorm had to have all of their roofs, full siding, full gutters, window screens, fascia metals, decks etc, all redone from the first year. Because we did such a good job for all of our customers the first year, they all went with us again the second year as well and then they also told all of their friends and family about us as too, doubling our work load the second year. We tried to keep up with the demand as best we could, but of course in the chaos of that process, some mistakes were made. Now that we have rectified everything and fought with your insurance company to ensure that your scope of work was covered properly, and have since came back and fixed all areas of concern, we would greatly appreciate it if you could update your review above, as you stated to Mr. Kee that you would. Thank you again for choosing KEE Roofing for a second time. We certainly do appreciate your patience and understanding concerning the sheer volume of homes that were damaged during that catastrophic event.
