- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We usually base our price on the square footage as well as taking into account the detail in the painting, mural or faux finishing project. So the price per square foot varies from one project to the next.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We contact the customer via phone or email to discuss the size of the rooms to be painted, or for more information about the mural or specialty decorative painting project. If the customer already has an image they like for a mural or faux finish, they can send it to us or we can help then find examples online. Or we can come up with something completely original. For straight painting the customer can send us pictures of the rooms and/or approximate dimensions. Based on that we should be able to give a reliable estimate as well as time required for completion.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My wife and I both went to art school. I studied illustration and painting while she studied sculpture. We both worked for other companies doing traditional painting as well as specialty decorative painting before starting our own business in 2001.
