We found Kim after searching through several trainers and training facilities. We had been struggling to find a trainer whose first “go-to” was not aversives such as prong collers, e-collars, or sprays that make scary noises, and all of the facilities were wildly unaffordable. I do understand these tools have their place, but it was our preference to avoid them with our puppy at least until we tried other options! She’s just a baby and we’d rather encourage her than scare her. Kim was very prompt in responding and was happy to hop on a call with us to go over what we were looking for with our puppy, Lily. During this call we actually learned a lot and were able to start working on a few things before even hiring Kim. We felt really good about the call so we went ahead and scheduled an evaluation for Lily, and during this first evaluation we learned a ton! Within the week we felt like we had tools to address a lot of the struggles that we had been facing. We had been training Lily for 7 months on our own and had just hit a wall. Kim was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to understand Lily and her needs, and find ways to help us meet those needs so that she could be better behaved. We’ve now had 5 total sessions and Lily is a new dog. She is still a work in progress, she likely always will be, but we are SO MUCH happier because of the training we’ve been able to do with her. Lily is becoming the dog we always wanted! We are extremely happy to have found Kim and plan on continuing to work with her to help refine Lilys skills as she grows into a smart confident dog! Attached is a photo of Lily napping with us after a day of working her brain :)

Kim was wonderful to work with and is so gentle with dogs. She worked with us to make our dog, Ginger, a much safer dog to be around. Ginger was resource guarding and could get snippy if we tried to get what she had. Within 1 session, Kim taught us how to deal with this problem. We did 3 sessions total but plan on doing more in the spring. Kim is reasonable and has practical solutions to help your dog be her best. You will not find a better value than Eye to Eye Dog Training and believe me, I did my research. Kim is the best!

Kim is excellent. She really listened when we had questions. Her training methods were practical and effective. We rescued a great dog with a few behaviors issues and in a few visits he has settled Into his role in the family. We can’t recommend Eye to Eye enough. Thank you Kim.

Kim was absolutely wonderful to work with. She responded to our request very quickly and took the time to get to know us and our concerns to make sure we’d be a good fit. We could tell right away she was clearly knowledgeable, but also had a lot of insight into our specific dog’s behaviors and needs. We have a 10 month old cattle dog/ lab mix and she was able to provide a lot of information about cattle dog and lab behavior that was contributing to our puppy’s presentation. He’s gone to puppy classes and knows the basics, but we realized we needed more help than that. Having her in the home and able to see exactly what was going on and helping us come up with solutions was invaluable. We have already seen such an improvement after 3 sessions, and feel empowered to continue working with our puppy. Our biggest issues with him were excessive barking and biting/ nipping, and we saw an improvement after the first session. We feel like we have truly turned a corner with him but will definitely reach out to Kim in the future if needed. We are so glad we hired Kim and definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a dog trainer!
