I received my TCSOL certification from the Teachers College of Columbia University in 2020. I'm a heritage speaker and I sought Ivy's help to improve my reading and writing. Since beginning Chinese lessons with her in the spring, my vocabulary has noticeably improved, but what's more notable is how much more comfortable I am speaking in Mandarin with family and community members. I've been really enjoying my lessons with Ivy. When I was first looking for a tutor, I chose her because I felt she understood the area I needed help in better than other tutors.
