This was hands down one of the best private chef experiences we’ve had. Chef Sean is very personable and knowledgeable. The liaison worked hard to schedule a call with Chef Sean, and was very professional and helpful. From there Chef Sean worked to craft the perfect menu. Then he arrived early and brought the most premium and fresh ingredients possible. His execution of the menu was flawless. All around great experience and once we won’t soon forget! Thank you!

I can’t thank Chef Sean and Tina enough for a truly magical surprise 60th birthday dinner for my husband. Sean was so easy to communicate with. After several emails and phone calls, Sean came up with the perfect menu, including some of my husband’s favorites. He was able to accommodate some dietary restrictions, even one that cropped up on the last week. Sean and Tina cooked, served and cleaned up, so we could really enjoy our guests. He made a specialty drink that the guests loved. The food was spectacular- each course was better than the last! And his carrot cake was to die for. Sean and Tina put all the leftovers in the refrigerator so we could enjoy them all weekend. This was hands down better than any restaurant experience and truly exceeded all my expectations! Sean really goes above and beyond and I would highly recommend him!

10/10 recommend!! If you are on the fence about booking, let this be your sign; you will not regret it! Chef Sean was nothing but kind and professional! We worked together to create a menu and the finished product exceeded my expectations! Not only the food, but the specialty cocktails were a highlight of the night! My vision for a backyard private dinner party would not have been excited without Chef Sean! Will definitely be using him again :)

Everything was great. Shawn arrived early and prepared an impeccable meal. He has a sense of humor and seemed like part of the family. Everyone loved him and the food. He was personable and professional. If you are having an event you can't go wrong with Shawn and Soiree Events.

What a great event! I would def use our chef and this company again. Two areas of improvement would be cleaning up (what was washed still seem dirty/greasy or was not fully clean) and dessert was not on the same level as the rest of the dinner. See you next year!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing reflects the high end experience we provide. From our warm professionalism to the quality of ingredients and the skills we bring to the event, we pride ourselves on attention to details and refusing to cut corners.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We like to have a conversation discussing the host’s needs and working together to write a menu. The chef writes up what was discussed and sends to the host who can then suggest changes or edits. On the day of the event we like to arrive in the early afternoon giving us plenty of time to get the lay of the land and prepare all of the food on site.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Both chef (Sean) and the server (Lauren) started working in kitchens as teenagers. They continued honing their skills for the next 15-20 years. Sean received his degree in hospitality management from JNA culinary institute in 2006 and has been garnering experience all over the city, the Hamptons, and the mainline ever since.
