GinaTheFashionista is a personal shopping and closet service company created by Gina Kantor in 2015. Previously over the past ten years, I have worked in retail within many areas and companies acquiring over 100 loyal clients by making their shopping an enjoyable experience. I am known to use customers information about body type and personal life to help them achieve a confident look in their daily life or for a special occasion. I work primarily with major department stores to be able to help my clients on any budget while saving them time. My service is different than most personal shopping services in which there is no charging hourly or commission but only one flat fee for the service that is needed. I am known to go above and beyond for her clients by thinking outside the box to get them what they are looking for by incorporating new fashion trends with their lifestyle. For one flat fee, I will make sure your experience is easy and validating whether your looking to get help with organizing and cleaning out your closet or a shopping experience.

"Whenever I see Gina, fashion and style always comes to mind. Not only is she very talented at what she does, she's very accommodating of your needs as well. It takes a unique skill set to be able to say, 'this is what I recommend for you - this is what would look good on you'. What I love the most about Gina's fashion style is that she's always up to date so she knows exactly what's the latest and what's not. I've been using Gina as my personal shopper for special occasions and to add staple items to my wardrobe and she never disappoints. I've gotten so many more compliments every time I wear something she has picked out for me. Not only that, since she's worked in retail for so long, she knows exactly where to go to help you find what you're looking for. I had a truly wonderful experience with Gina! She really understood my individual style and worked with me to clean out old clothes in my closet and bring in new items. I had been struggling to find clothes that fit my body since having a baby and gaining a significant amount of weight. Gina was able to help me find SO many options and a great variety between comfortable SAHM clothes as well as fun and exciting pieces for the occasional night out- all within my budget. It feels so freeing to be able to go into my closet and find clothes that I like, that fit me, and that I’m comfortable in and I’m so grateful to Gina for helping me with this!! Gina was no less than amazing! I was in a tough spot before my summer wedding, being a business owner and a new mom I had little to no time to shop for the most difficult clothing item around- little WHITE dresses! With my bridal shower, bachelorette weekend, son’s christening and rehearsal dinner all quickly approaching I had tried everywhere in Center City Philadelphia, from Barney’s to ASOS online and found nothing! I finally was going to settle on some boring tea length number for my Bridal shower and figure the rest out later when I reached out to Gina and let the PROFESSIONALS take over. After only a brief conversation about my personal likes she took the reins and showed up with over 21 dresses. All white, all in my size, and most importantly all in my STYLE. I was so pleasantly stunned! Not only did she help me find my bridal shower gown, but I was able to pick a dress for EACH of the important events coming up- and with some to spare! Gina is amazing, she really takes the time to understand her clients and what their style is, what their vision is and most importantly what will look good on their actual body. I can’t thank her enough!!!!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge flat fees for all my services. I offer 4 different services/combination packages. A wardrobe update is a flat fee of $250, a closet assessment and wardrobe update combination is a flat fee of $500, a closet clean out and organization combination is a flat fee of $750 and the ultimate package of a closet assessment, clean out and organization with a wardrobe update is a flat fee of $975.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will get an inquiry from a potential customer and ask what they are looking for. From there I will set up whatever appointments are necessary to begin the process. If the initial meeting is at a clients home, I can ask all my questions when I see them in person, but if I am working with a client who is just doing a wardrobe update, I will send them a questionnaire to help me be able to get them everything they are looking for.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA in Sociology from Northeastern University and a Fashion Business Certificate from Parsons New School.
