The Always Faithful Dog Training method is designed to teach you the language of your dog. We call it Leadership Dog Training. Dogs are pack animals. As part of your pack, you want your dog to follow you.
Common dog behaviors like leash pulling, jumping, barking, digging, and generally not listening are signs that your dog wants to lead you. Our private in-home lessons will immediately correct these behaviors and teach you how to become the pack leader.

Joel and his assistant, Sabrina, did I fantastic job helping us with our two problem fur-kids. We had just adopted a new rescue dog from Texas and she was out of control Also, our previous dog had issues with aggression towards other dogs and men. The Always Faithful professionals were extremely patient with me and my husband as we learned techniques to correct their issues.
Practicing the skills they taught us consistently is important; no dog trainer can produce a better-behaved pet without commitment and effort on the owners' part.
We are enjoying our pets infinitely more since the training and have much less stress in our lives. While there are still occasional problems, we now have the tools to manage them. Joel is very knowledgeable about (and loving towards) dogs and their many potential issues, having been a K9 trainer in the Marines. Thank you, Joel, and Always Faithful Dog Training!

Had a really excellent experience with Joel for my puppies training. He always went above and beyond and really understands how to serve people in a genuine way and isnt just looking for a transaction to make money. I highly reccomend Joel if you want a trustworthy person who cares about your dog and will give above and beyond service . He is very knowledgeable and gives great advice.

Just call them! The amount of 5 star reviews were what had me choosing them. We had a (free) consultation with Adam and we felt very confident about the trainers after meeting with him and him telling us he owns the same breed of dog as we do.Our dog needed a little more work on some behaviors so our next session was with Joel. Joel knows his stuff! You can tell Joel is educated and knowledgeable when it comes to working with dogs and their specific needs. He was very patient going over & explaining all of the commands and exercises, both with us and with our dog.He did not push excessive amounts of training sessions, he was very flexible with working with our schedules and he was courteous of our time, making sure we got our full hour of training completed.He trained our dog in a variety of settings and it was not a cookie cutter type of session. He tailors the training to your dog's needs.You will get education materials texted to you after each session so that you can refer to those when practicing with your dog.After 5 sessions, we have a whole new dog here. Our dog has some of his own challenges we have to work through, which will take patience & time, but with the tools Joel provided, he is already on his way to being the most confident boy.I highly recommend Always faithful, regardless of which trainer because they clearly know dogs inside and out.We will continue to use them for our training needs!

We were referred to Always Faithful Dog Training of Pittsburgh by a friend to help with some issues with our two young dogs.From the first contact, Joel was very professional and knowledgeable. He evaluated our dogs' temperaments and helped us work out some training issues, providing valuable insights and advice.-One of our dogs was very reactive to people entering our home, and we are now able to direct her to be more polite.-We can feed both dogs together with confidence.-We can be confident that our dogs are engaging in appropriate play.-We have more peaceful walks without pulling.Joel thoughtfully answered all of our questions, and helped us to be more confident pack leaders.

Joel was super helpful. Clover was already 5 years old when I decided to get help with her training Joel watched how she and I interacted and how she behaved and offered several small modifications that resulted in big changes. I wish I would have sought out guidance much sooner. Clover is a leash reactive dog and now, our walks are so much more enjoyable. I highly recommend Joel and Always Faithful Dog Training.
