FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I currently offer three different price points for my services: an elopement price, which is for a small service and does not require customization; a full package custom ceremony price, which allows for tailoring the ceremony to fit and can be used for any size wedding, any location; and a single-level event price, which guarantees I will be available to you for the full day of your wedding and reception.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
it depends on the client's availability. I generally like to meet with them in person to go over their options for the ceremony, but I am available to do this remotely if they cannot meet for whatever reason.... distance sometimes makes that difficult
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Almost twenty years ago, I began to see people I knew who were becoming frustrated with the lack of flexibility in marriage options. They felt like they could only go to the Justice of the Peace, which means a five minute canned service in what is usually an unattractive courtroom or office, or a church wedding, which is expensive, long (like an hour) and again doesn't allow you to do much to customize the ceremony. And many people who would like a religious ceremony can't get married in the church because they are divorced from a previous marriage. I fill in the gap between those two.... I'm priced comparably to the Justice of the Peace, but I will travel anywhere and do your ceremony in your style, your way, and because I am a fully licensed minister I can do a religious ceremony as well as a secular one.
