The team at The Remodeling Authority did a great job finishing our basement! Gerald originally quoted us on a deck extension but we pivoted to finishing the basement and he and his team rolled with the changes. The company sent some young college boy to my house named Alex. He was very rude very arrogant and very loud. He pretty much called me stupid if I don't go with their products and told me if I go to Home Depot or Lowe's I'm an idiot. He called it home Cheapo. He then told me I don't know what world we're living in and told me if Trump was president prices would be lower. Bringing politics into an estimate situation to me is the worst thing any company can do. He actually said go Trump right before I threw him out of my house. Don't fall for this company they're looking for 18,000 plus shower remodels not bathroom remodels shower remodels! Waste of a half an hour but buyer beware. And if I didn't say his name in the beginning I'll say it again his name was Alex.

I initially connected with the company through Thumbtack to install an egress window in the basement, and another 2 small windows. Their project manager, Alex S, came to assess the project. I paid $5,500 for the windows, with the understanding that I will have a legal egress window and the work would be completed within two weeks. After two weeks passed with no updates, I reached out to ask about the status. They repeatedly ignored me, and when they finally responded, they claimed there was a delay due to material availability. Despite numerous calls, pleading, and follow-ups, they didn’t start the installation until nearly four months later. When the work was finally done, I discovered they had not followed PA code, and the egress window was improperly installed and failed in inspection. Since then—more than a year ago—I’ve been chasing them to fix the issues. they ignore me. The quality of their work was poor, and they’ve failed to take responsibility for their mistakes. stay away.
