I am a retired inventor and I built pool when I was younger and living in Florida I built commercial pool and did all phases of the construction. Today I started helping people that knew and I also have a subcontract agreement with Leslie’s pool I do custom tile renovation and equipment upgrades , salt water conversions and explain the basics of the salt water process for Sanatation for swimming pools . It does not effect your filtration what so ever most people think you need a full conversion it’s just a salt cell thai is placed in the plumbing and control box . And of course about 600 lbs of salt which is never lost or evaporates unlike chlorine tabs and powder it is consumed by the suns UVrays salt is never consumed by evaporation just need to add one to two bag a year . Only because in the north when you winterize a pool the water that’is lowered is the only salt loss . Which is about 80 lbs . A year cost 20$ for two bags . Also the amount of salt you add to the pool water is less that you tears in your eyes it’s about 3000ppm of salt content nothing like the ocean you will not even taste it In the water . Many people have a misconception of this system . Also I do this service as a courtesy to people that cannot afford the high cost of pool chemicals and Maintenance. I am helping out the industry and maintaining the integrity it is losing by company’s and services that mislead and price gouge consumers that own or have a pool installed and want the benefit from it that won’t break the bank I’m the company and service you can count on.
