Kacie S. says, "We’re so pleased with Andrew’s work on our foundation repair that we are having him back for our bathroom renovation. We highly recommend him!
SCOPE OF WORK: Complete rebuild (including foundation) of a walk-out basement room of our old Lawrenceville home. This required the demolition of 3 exterior walls of the basement room while supporting our kitchen above it.
They excavated and poured a proper concrete foundation, framed new walls, replaced the exterior vinyl siding, and hung insulation and interior plywood ceiling & walls. During the excavation, they uncovered some plumbing issues and had those resolved. They also installed a floor drain and an interior water spigot. All of our HVAC hook-ups also had to be properly disconnected, then reconnected after the walls went up.
THE GOOD: We’re very happy with the quality of the work, and we will have them back for more projects in the future. Andrew was our point of contact for everything and was on-site every day. He did a lot of the work personally and many times was here the whole day. He worked weekends and long hours to get the job completed asap (always checking with our schedule).
Andrew dealt with the city permitting and inspections, which required a lot of pestering on his part. He always kept us updated on the job progress and any issues. We were also impressed with the creative solutions he came up with to work around our “old house problems.”
Andrew is professional, competent, personable, and seems to truly care about the quality of his work (especially evident when he surprised us with some extra free work here and there just to make the finished project nicer). We would highly recommend him to any of our friends and family!
THE BAD: The demo/excavation crew once left bottles and leftover food sitting out (which would attract rodents in this area), and they smoked too close to the house causing the smell of cigarettes to fill the house. However, when I told Andrew about this, he was genuinely upset with them and immediately cleaned it up himself. I started to apologize for bringing it up and he said, “No, do NOT apologize. This is completely unacceptable.” It was never an issue after that. There were also a couple of small things that he had forgotten to wrap up near the end of the job, but I mentioned it, and he took care of it with no issue."See more
