Skip was a pleasure to have tune our piano. He arrived right on time, worked carefully and diligently, dealing with our dog and kids and their interest in the process. He also is a gifted pianist and uses both his ear and modern electronic tuning assistants to ensure a good tune. I always like when a tuner plays.
Did I mention he was less expensive than our last guy (who I did not call back) to boot?

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first step is assessing the condition of the instrument. For example an instrument with malfunctioning mechanics will need to have that repaired before tuning can be performed. Or a "pitch raising" will be done before a "fine-tuning".
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I make my living as a piano player and a production studio owner. As a professional musician maintaining the instrument has been a necessity.
