I would add professionalism as well. I really felt the old stairs were so rickety that they needed to be replaced. He did a fantastic repair job. They are unbelievably solid now. Great job! Significantly less expensive than replacement!

Since this algorithm has given me a second chance to recommend William Brown, I'm taking it. William was a pleasure to work with. He likes to know the client and meet the client's needs, not his own. He's honest about what it'll take to get the job done right - time, money, and what a quality-build is. He is fair. He tells you what'll it take and it's up to you to make your own decision. You might think he's pricey but I'm telling you - you get what you paid for and in the long-run, you will see the benefits. I'm already noticing how my stairs are both functional and water is moved away. Implicitly, I know this job will double or triple the time these stairs will last over how they were originally done. Money well spent. Go with William. You won't regret it.

William is a superb carpenter and if you are looking for a superior quality job, he is the man for you. He plans carefully, works well with the homeowner, uses the best materials and completes the job on time and on budget. Our exterior stairs were a mess and he turned them into a work of functional art. The treads now siphon away water and the rails were strengthened and updated to code. Get on his schedule. You won't be disappointed.

Responded within an hour, was up front about fees and provided an ETA. Came by same day and completed our small project. Would hire him again!
